A mistake you'll never forget

Me and my kids got to live at this complex for 20 days before I start to complain. Sounded like a herd of rats running on our heads one day, Thanksgiving weekend to be exact. So we called the emergency number for the complex and was told there was nothing they could do by the answering service. Well one of my kids decided to put his head up in the attic and see what was going on. To our surprise there was a bunch of pigeons fighting and such in our attic with no insulation. Still answering service would not put the messege thru.
My kids and I lived there for eight months we went thru four managers and staff and nobody knew what was going on and certainly couldn't answer any types of questions.
Well by February I was so tired of screaming and yelling at the office staff that changed constantly, I called the city inspector and filed a report. He in turn contacted the complex and they said "It will be taken care of" hahahaha. A month and a half to two months later I was calling the city inspector again. He contacted the complex again and of course new manager again so nobody had a clue. But again reassured that the problem would be taken care of. I finally contacted the city inspector and again and asked what time he would meet me to take a look at my attic.
At 2:30 that afternoon we had the complex maintanence there and we all had taken a look. My kids and I had lived there for 8 months with no insulation and tons of pigeons that were alive, dead, being hatched and of course fieces all over. By the next day my apartment had been shut down by the health department as being substandard. The got several citations and then proceeded to lie to everyone who lived there.
One of the last things I remember talking to the inspector about was a lung disease that the pigeons give. Which adults are more seseptable to then kids. Me and my children approximately a month later had trouble breathing. The doctors could only tell me that there was a cloudy area in my lung.
Then you have the supposed security gates that never worked but the parts were always on order.
We were suppose to have tanning beds that worked maybe three weeks when we first moved in and then the rooms were turned into storage sheds.
And let us not forget about the dryer that should not of even been working and should be glad that it didn't start a fire. But as I was told "heehee at least it wouldn't of been your fault".
They also had what they referred to as security guard that would walk around the complex maybe, if he wasn't to busy parting with the minors in the complex.
The apartment complex denied everything all the way even though I had proof.(We took picture of my attic). Even there coporate offices here in town and in Texas, refuse to talk to you, won't return a phone call even though I left numerous messages.
You really might want to think twice about where you decide to live.
