I feel Laguna Palms HOA is prejudice and down right ignorant. I feel that they treat me like crap because I am a renter and I stand up for myself. We've been fined several times for parking in someone else's parking space, speeding, playing loud rap music from our car (the funniest one), and CHANGING OUR CAR TIRE IN THE PARKING LOT! The only one we actually did was change our tire in the parking lot. Give me a break. We are hard working people with a family, we do not deserve this. I've talked to several of my neighbors who have had the same discrimination. One of my neighbors got fined because her 17 year old son was wearing baggy pants. Seriously!' And another was fined because her son was splashing in the pool!

Also, I feel the night security is a joke. He rides his buddies around in his little golf cart at night and ignores me when I wave at him or come to him with a concern. Someone on duty should not be allowed to 'hang out' while working. When we call to complain that someone is blasting their car stereo right outside our baby's window at night, they do NOTHING about it. I feel that all he does is ride around and give us dirty looks. I've even complained about some of the owners who refuse to pick up after their dog. Guess what, nothing has been done about it! I cannot even let my little ones play on the grass for fear of them walking into feces.

When we called the HOA to complain that they are falsely accusing us, the woman at the HOA who signed the letter, said that she didn't even know someone occupied our unit (we've lived here for years) and said she isn't the one who sends the letter out. UH...HELLO....your signature is at the bottom of the letter. And hopefully, none of you ever has to deal with the 'secretary' at the HOA. I feel that she tries as hard as possible to be mean and unhelpful if you are not an owner. We got our car broken into and our swipe card key was stolen (to get into the pool and mail room) and she made me feel like I was the criminal!



**Word around the community is that the HOA is filing defamation lawsuits on anyone who writes a negative on this review website. I still stand by the facts stated on my behalf. I wasn't aware that when you are writing a review on a review website....you are only allowed to say good things about them. This is just another action taken by the HOA that proves what I stated previously.**

The HOA cant win a lawsuit for defamation. Let them squander the HOA dues on attorneys fees on a frivolous lawsuit. First of all, theres something called the First Amendment freedom of speech! Second, only a person can be defamed, not a corporation. Third, you cant win a lawsuit for defamation if the information is true. Bring it on! When the judge throws out the case, theyll be bankrupt from your attorney's fees and theirs. I mean really, they are already trying to scare people with this because they know this place is crap and if you live here, expect to be treated like so.
