I was placed at Madera as part of a relocation package that included corporate housing in a furnished apartment for 30 days.
I would rather pay to stay in a hotel than stay one more night in this apartment.
I've seen plenty of roaches here and there outside, but early this morning I found two inside, one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen.
One was half the size of my finger.
We are clean people...we have not cooked or left food anywhere in this apartment, we take the trash out regularly, we've cloroxed and swept quite a few times, for godsake we are living out of our suitcases until we find a place so not much of ours is here.
I'm disgusted because I've read the other reviews of the infestation here and I just know that there could be hundreds more hiding.
Plus, I have squashed quite a few smaller bugs with antannaes (baby roaches that have just hatched in the carpet or under the sink').
Aside from the roaches, the apartment is was overall not very nice.
The fresh coat of paint that was apparently applied before we moved in is all over the furniture, floor, tile, door knobs, etc.
The sheets and comforter on the bed are both stained (ew).
The linoluem is pulled up in both bathrooms (probably a good hiding place for all the roaches).
The dishwasher is broken.
I don't ask for a lot, I understand how rentals work, and I understand that cockroaches live in the desert, BUT I DO NOT expect to share my living space with cockroaches.
Renters pay good money to have a clean, roach free home, and if this is what you are looking for in a rental property, LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.
On the other hand, parking is great and it is pretty quiet.

10. The rent high-not worth the money 9. roaches 8.dirty pools/broken glass 7.appliances break down over and over again 6. Air-conditioning weak and breaks-down often 5.will keep any deposit you give them with excuses. 4.the office likes to play games(drama) 3.takes around 5 minutes of running water to get hot water from sink faucet(big water waste) 2.the model you look at is the only good apartment(bait and switch) AND the number one reason 1.English is not understood by the office staff. If you think I am telling lies? go find out the hard way.
