I do not know my complex as Oasis Breeze, since it's been called Camden Breeze since I moved in on January 15th, 2007. My roommate and I could not make a special trip to Vegas to search for apartments, so we had to rent our first apartment here sight unseen. It was a mistake renting here, but at least we made the correct decision to only go with a 6-month lease instead of anything longer. I can't wait to get out of here!!!
To show that I'm not just a negative jerk who is only pessimistic, I'll first try to say some nice things about this place. First, safety hasn't been an issue so far, as our cars have been left alone and we are not aware of any car theft or burglaries since we've moved in. However, given the types of people who are moving in here, it wouldn't surprise me to wake up one day and find my car broken into. The landscaping is pretty decent, and the office staff has nice personalities. The rent is definitely overpriced when looking at the product we are getting, but one plus was the fact that they required a ZERO security deposit and they also waived some application fees, which are prevalent in Vegas.
Now to the bad stuff. To put it simply, this place is the NOISIEST place that I've ever lived in! We are surrounded on all sides by completely rude jackasses who have NO common courtesy whatsoever. On my bedroom side, I share a wall with a latino family that I think consists of 5 people (in a small 2 bedroom apt.), but only one guy speaks English and I think he's the only person that actually works. The kids are screaming and running into the other side of my bedroom wall all day long and they blare their spanish music very loudly (a big problem since I work swing shift and TRY to sleep during the day). On my roommate's side of the apt. is some idiotic white trailer trash of a dude who totally blasts his Lynard Skynard music every single night and who apparently does not work, since he's ALWAYS home! And there are many obligatory --------American guys pulling into their parking spots with their rap music playing as loudly as is humanly possible! If you are looking for the "complex of stereotypes", you've found it! All of this is made worse by the fact that the walls are paper thin. I can plainly here our upstares neighbor urinating in the toilet, his shower noise sounds like it's coming from within our apartment, and we can plainly here white trash dude playing his music, even though there are two walls and a sidewalk between my roommate's bedroom and his! The air conditioner is new and works well, but ALL other appliances are extremely old and in need of replacement. The fridge and dishwasher make a god-awful noise when in use, the washer and dryer are ancient (and noisy), and our neighbor's ac unit makes this annoying grinding noise whenever it kicks on (which is located right outside our living room window).
To put it simply, I may have gotten about 2 weeks worth of good night's sleep in this place out of the 5 months that we've lived here so far. I always go to bed with my ear plugs in, and even that's not enough most of the time. Stupid kids skateboard through the sidewalk all of the time, and some jackass just bought this moped/scooter type of thing that he races back and forth with in the parking lot, revving it up outside our window making it sound like someone is using a chainsaw or something.
There are a few decent folks living in this complex, but I have to think they are in the same boat as us and are looking to escape as soon as possible. It seems like a new grocery shopping cart somehow finds its way into the complex every other day, and there are definitely dumpster divers out and about.
If you are thinking of renting here......don't! Unless, of course, you are a rude jackass who likes to play loud music and doesn't care at all about anyone but yourself.
You may be saying to yourself, "gee, there must be hundreds of people living in this complex and there are only very few comments listed here, so maybe it's not as bad as this review makes it out to be." Well, trust me, most of the tenants in this place probably can't even afford to buy a computer and hook it up, or might not even know how to work one. Plus, most of them are part of the problem.
Right now, I'm currently looking to move into a condo (renting) in a nice neighborhood in Henderson for only about $40 per month more. Sure, they require a security deposit, but who cares. If you care at all about quality of life, stay away from Camden Breeze.

You've definitely given the most accurate portrayal. This place is so miserable and agreeably noisy - not an exaggeration by any means - and we have had several shootings from idiots who want to pretend they are some big toughguy - this place is hell - my husband and I are out of here as soon as financially possible - even if it means we have to rent again, instead of buying a home as we planned. Someone needs to relocate these tenants into public housing and/or actually screen their applicants.
