CRIME RIDDEN! Our car was stolen, and our apt was broken into 2 times within 2 months. The gate that is supposed to be closed at night is left open , so the access code does not matter. Or you could wake up the night security guard, who is either sleeping in his golf cart here or across the street, at the other Camden property (they have one security guard for 2 properties!) Our toilets had a leak, both, and it took them 4 whole days to fix them, so we had to drive to Texas Station (about 2 miles away) to use the bathroom! And there was no deduction for rent, even though we were not availbe to use the facilities in our apt! It was a nice place 2 years ago when we moved in, however, within the last 6 months the community has gotten worse and worse. there was a sexual assualt reported at the gym, thre has been thefts of mail, and cars are stolen at about the rate of 1 a week. Meanwhile, the front office has decided not to tell the renters ANY of this, deciding to hide it until people ask. There are much better places to live in this city, including ones that take dogs. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a place to live in the city of Las Vegas, Oasis Gateway and Camden Apts only care about the bottom line, and don't care about the safety and well being of the people who live in their community.

I live here too, and the reason you knew about the crime at the gym was because a flyer was posted on all the doors. the management did, in fact, tell you about it. I still feel safe here. One incident or a couple of petty vandalisms isn't enough for me to go running... it's las vegas, in case you weren't aware, and there are diffinately worse places to be in this town.

I lived there from feb 07 to june 07 and moved because my 57" TV was stolen from a upper unit and some how no one saw. then it was left kicked in in the parking lot(guessing they couldnt get it in the car) and some how security missed a huge tv just sitting there. i also know many other people who moved the same time i did because of breakins.
