Yo!

once the new managemet took over the place took a dive

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006

This is the second time I lived here, the first experience was in 2003-2004 with Candem Estates as management. The place was pretty good and the price was great, $500 a month. I went to Korea, and before I came back I called them up and reserved a new apartment thinking I would get the same. These are things I have seen dealers can be seen, cars get broken into, I had to chase some kids away from mine. Since I am in the military my car has out of state licenses plates (Federal law says I cannot be required to change my state of reg.) I am constantly getting stickers on the window, I went on leave for a week, and they towed my car without even putting a sticker on the window. Their excuse is that a vehicle cannot sit in a spot for more than 48hrs. If that's so how are people supposed to go on vacation!

Lets see...what else...the matinees sucks, my garbage disposal keeps plugging up if I don't use it every day, the sink clogs up. After bugging them for a week or 2 they finally come in (without knocking or anything) and "fix" it (but they didn't). Just to have it happen again and then they tell me it's normal. Then I complain about my A/C unit, it really sucks down power, in the winter my electric bill is like $50 or so, in the summer it is over $200, in my old apartments with the temp set the same it never went over $80, so I complain and they tell me that appts. are expensive to cool off....what B/S, also the lights in the carport have been off since I got here in oct '05. The lady that lives bellow me, we both have been complaining and they still have yet to be fixed.

There are these homeless people on bikes that go through your garbage and pick stuff out (a paper shredder is a must if you don't want your ID stolen.) The garbage trucks come between 6 and 8 in the morning and make all sorts of noise, also security is non-excellent, there was a murder around September time frame so they hired some security. I haven't seen them in a month, there are gunshots almost every night, and there have been times that I've put my rifle next to my bed in case something happens. All the management seems to be concerned in is cosmetic things, like paint and new signs and palm trees, yet they can't seem to pick up all the trash that is all over the complex. Last month they decided to spread mu-newer all over the grass, so the entire complex smelled awful. Overall it is a horrible experience, and I wish I didn't sign an 18 month lease. I can't wait until it's up so I can move out, I hope management reads this so maybe they can get their act together.
