Very very bad and unsafe apartment complex

I read reviews on this website every time I move into a new apartment (I had to move to a lot of different places due to job reasons). My opinion is people only write reviews when they are not satisfied with something. So usually even if there a a lot of bad reviews and a couple of good reviews I take a chance and move into the apartment and I never had any problems before. This time I was looking for an apartment close to my work place and found Oasis Heritage. The rent was affordable ($615 for a furnished studio) and I wanted a 3 month short term lease. I read the reviws on this site and there were a couple of good reviews and thought I'll take a chance again. MISTAKE! MISTAKE! MISTAKE!. This is the most unsafe apartment complex I've ever lived in. You can see all kinds of people around the complex who don't belong there. People with hoods jumping the walls around the complex, trash pickers, people drinking alcohol in groups outside, etc.
The first time I drove into the apartment complex, it looked really cool with palm trees in the complex and mountains all around, but as I started driving around looking for the apartment office, I realised I made a mistake, but I had no choice but move in. Maintance staff sucks. You just have to wait for 3 or 4 days and call them or visit the office personally and complain about the problem atleast 3 or 4 times to get their attention. I'm a girl living single. One night I parked my car and went up the stairs on my way to my apartment and one guy was hiding right behind his aprtment door waiting for me and as soon as I was in front of his door still walking to my apartment, he opened his door and shouted loudly to scare me and he started laughing along with his girl friend who was sitting inside. I thought that was just sick. I stopped going out after it was dark. Finally at the end of 2nd month, I paid the third month rent and quit the apartment. I'm so glad I'm still alive. For people who are like me (read negative reviews and still take a chance), please trust me on this one and stay away from it.
