The neighborhood is great, management / maintenance stinks

I really like most of my neighbors. By that I mean I don't know any of them and never hear a peep out of them. Of course, that can change in an instant in an apartment complex. However, I won't be renewing my lease, here or at any Camden property.
The apartment is simply falling down around me. The electricity is spotty, the water takes forever to heat up, the washer/dryer is a total pos and really needs to be repaired properly or replaced. The garbage disposal freezes every few weeks for no reason at all. The doors and windows are terribly drafty. It all adds up to crazy electricity and gas bills. The worst part is, they just won't fix anything properly. Maintenance is terrible. It usually takes 2-3 calls to get someone here, and when they come they do the most half-ass job they can and whenever I call management I get a lecture about what I'm doing wrong. Telling me how to use a garbage disposal, and "did you clean the lint trap'" I won't stay another year and I'll avoid Camden from now on. Management talks big and they're always polite but they're just useless. Frankly, they're patronizing.

Your so right, get out Run!! as I said in my post. They ripped me off financially too. Do your homework and rent a house, the owner is interested in maintaining their investment. It's not that much more money and you get so much more.
