i love my apartment and the close proximity to the strip and UNLV, but the other apartment complexes and strip malls that are beside of OP are kind of nasty. it looks like they are doing some work on the area and in a year or two it would be a nice area. i'm moving next year to the other side of UNLV on Maryland Pkwy where the area is a little nicer, but i will seriously miss the amenities (the Roman Tub, the space, etc). I feel relatively safe here, and i walk to class every day and night to UNLV and my safety isn't really threatened in any way.
