16 months ago I read those previous reviews in Providence, RI and decided to move into Oasis Place. When I first arrived I wasn't impressed with the neighborhood but found the apartments to have a "OLD FOLKS HOME" similarity! I've been living here for almost 2 years and I've never even seen all of my neighbors let alone HEAR them! It's so quiet, NO CHILDREN which I love, and very clean. My boyfriend teased me about living in a bad neighborhood and 2 days after he moved into his "GOOD" neighborhood his car radio got stolen! HAHAHA I called maintanace on a Saturday and on Monday I had a brand new refrigerator, and garbage disposal. All apartments have maintanance problems but mine started 15 months into my lease and it was fixed immediatly and best of all CORRECTLY! I love this place. It's a great place when you first come to las vegas and the price is worth it being so close to the strip. So much is being torn down and built around it that i imagine renovations will be made and rent will probaly go up in the near future. I have a car but I save gas by riding my bike to work everyday. The only sad thing is you cannot live here forever. It's too small. Eventually you want to be able to close your bedroom door and that is impossible for a studio. Oasis Place decided to raise the rent but when I wanted to move they reduced my rent JUST SO I WOULD STAY! I did stay. I LOVE THEM. All of the staff is friendly and they usually stay open 15 minutes after their office closes. Don't let the neighborhood scare you away. I see some street people, and married white collar business men looking for prostitutes in their expensive cars but these people down here don't bother you unless you go looking for trouble. Request to live on the 500 B side its a lot more quiet and away from the riff raff. Overall I am a light sleeper and I fear that when I do move to a larger apartment with my boyfriend that I will have been spoiled by this place. This was my first apartment and the experience was excellent.
