Closing Report......... From: num1grl Date posted: 7/25/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007   So, I have lived at Oasis Place for 15 months, and my lease is shortly coming to an end. I know most people use this website to bash apartments because they paid their rent late, but here is an HONEST opinion. The apartments are very cute inside. They are very small, but if your single you will have no problem. The apartment even comes with a HUGE tub and a full size washer and dryer. The counter tops are old though, so they stain very easily. The grounds are generally kept nice. My maitenance requests are generally resolved in a reasonable time. The only problem is the water. The water is usually turned off about once a month 8AM-6PM for water repairs. The old manager left, the new manager is very polite. Now, for the flip side. The neighborhood. The neighborhood is VERY VERY VERY BAD. Ever time I tell a law enforcement officer that I live on Sierra Vista they say "what are you thinking' Thats the second worst place in Las Vegas. There are a lot of crack heads and prostitutes. You will see a minimum of 2 cop cars per day. But, for some reason there are never any problems with the residents in the complex. Camden does a good job screening potential residents. Recently, they started requiring all residents to subscribe to Cox cable for 39.00 a month. This fee is included in your rent. If you don't pay it, you can get evicted and/or receive late fees. I would recommend this apartment complex to a UNLV student. (It is very close to campus) Good Luck Apartment Searching.
