Not a bad place to live

Pacific Harbors at Sunrise was our first place of residence in Las Vegas. We lived there for seven months. The community was relatively clean and quiet, and we enjoyed the two pools.
We were not very satisfied with the "health facilities" which were basically one Nautilus and a treadmill.
There was a problem with security. Often we would come home to find large groups of people drinking and playing loud music outside our apartment, or would leave our apartment and have to shoo them off our car. Management was not particularly nice or helpful, and maintenance was non-existant: Washer/dryer was broken, dishwasher leaked, and balcony lock was broken--which is a problem when the balcony is adjacent to the stairs. None of these problems were fixed in the duration of our occupancy.
Despite all this we never had an issue with crime or vandalism and found the location to be very convenient. We were happy with our floorplan, and our friends with comparable rent prices were impressed by the ammenities. The grounds were very green and well-kept.
We did, however, receive a mysterious bill for $250 after leaving (apartment was immaculate and lease completed). We refused to pay when sufficient explanation wasn't given, and there was no further problem. This is a good starter apartment while you find your way around the city.
