Terrible place with horrible management From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/15/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006 1 response My fiance and I moved into the Villas in late 2005 and they showed us the model that looked nice. When we saw our actual villa, there were stains on the carpet and it smelled moldy. They assured us they'd have the carpet replaced prior to us taking the lease and the mold would be fixed when they re-paintd it. We moved in and the carpet had not been replaced but they told us they made a note that we didn't do it (they sent us a bill for it when we moved out 1 year later). 3 months into our lease, the ceiling above the tv in the living room starting leaking and they promised they'd fix the stain. We called management at least 5 times and they kept tellig us they'd get to it. This is the same thing they said about the front gate that only worked about 10 days a month. I also had about $2,000 worth of property stolen right out of my garage in the middle of the day due to the broken gate and when I told them they said, "too bad." My fiance and I both developed terrible allergies due to the mold problems. Also, the following items broke during our stay: 1. Garbage disposal 2. Dishwasher 3. Hot Water Heater 4. Garage Door 5. Front Gate Access Box (so visitors can come by) never worked the entire time. 6. Jacuzzi upstairs started making a whining noise about 1/2 way through the lease 7. Our utility bills were through the roof (over $400/month some months) due to poor insulation (you could see cracks through the bottom of the doors to the outstide). We've been out over 5 months now and I can't get my deposit back and I still receive random bills from them (1 they said they were turning into credit if I didn't overnight them a check immediately and once I did, they still sent me another bill AFTER they said I was all paid up and could be expecting my deposit back). I have called them at least 7 times in the last 3 weeks with no return call and I just called the manager again (Bahara Brown) and her assistant said she'd get back to me and needed the number. Also, the police were at the property at least 3 times since I first moved in and the weights in the weight room were never tightened so they were very loose and poorly maintained. I'd definately say to look elsewhere when considering a place to live. They are terrible in almost every way and they charge way too much for what you get.
