Your experience there will really depend on who your nextdoor neighbors are.
The area was relatively quiet for the first year and a half that I was there. Then, however, one of our single neighbors got married and her new husband was very noisy and inconsiderate. Weekends were no longer peaceful, as he would be out in the garage using all kinds of loud power tools. They also had two 4-wheelers which they would often park right up against our garage door when they were doing work in their own garage.

They were finally given a noise violation when everyone else in the building complained about them, but that didn't seem to stop them. Even after the noise violation they were out there using tools and reving their 4-wheelers. I had a stressful Saturday night when they had their 4-wheelers reving/running for about a half hour straight right underneath our bedroom windows. I don't know if they ended up getting evicted because I moved only about a week after they received the noise violation.

There were a few minor things. The area seems to be a popular place to abandon stolen vehicles (3 of them were abandoned right outside our front door). One of the kids in our building was involved in stealing a mail package off our porch in October of 2007. And there was the young girl who regularly parked her SUV in front of the fire hydrant even if there were plenty of other parking spaces available.

There were other people in the complex who were good neighbors and considerate of others.

So really, all of our bad experiences were because of bad nextdoor neighbors. If you are fortunate to get an apartment nextdoor to one of the good neighbors, then you should have a good experience.
