Terrible Management, Paper Thin Walls, Trashy Neighbors

Upon taking the initial tour of the grounds and the apartments, I was impressed by the large kitchen, laundry in the unit, large bathroom and built-ins as well as lots of closet space. The deciding factor was the individual garage for my new car. What a nightmare this place turned out to be. Snobby management that refuses to fix anything. Problems: 1. Fireplace-broke my first month there. Numerous complaints, it was never fixed. 2. My garage door-The opener sometimes stopped working and opened my neighbor's garage instead. My car was stuck inside on numerous occasions. The management thought it was funny and once took 5 days to get it open. My car was inside (of course) each time. Washer-Cheapest one made, performed (or not) like a cheapo. Fixed twice after long waits. 3. Paper thin walls-I could hear my next-door neighbor pass gas. No kidding. My downstairs neighbor loved to play her big stereo and the management never did anything about it. This always happened when I was trying to sleep. I could also hear each and every time she had sex, blow by blow so to speak. Like I said, paper thin walls and floor. 4. Neighbors- Either drugged out or allowed to display their collection of trashy unmentionables (ratty lawnchairs, dirty BBQ's, broken toys, garbage, etc. in front of their apartments. Strictly stated in the lease that it's forbidden to put anything outside. I was put through a stringent screening process. I don't know how these unemployed druggies got in. The place is gated but the wonderful neighbors would ram the gate with their automobiles and break it on a regular basis. Oh, my passcard to get in and out used to stop working too.

In summary, a pain in the okole and a total waste of money. I was happier at Royal Sahara by Maryland Parkway. At least they were friendly, the apartments were built like bank vaults and they were cheap. I didn't mind paying a little extra but got nothing for it. At least it was really clean. I was really happy to move out. I did so the moment my lease was up.
