BAD place to live. Look elsewhere.

I still live here. I've lived here for 3 years now and am only renewing my lease for another 6 months to save up to move out finally. I've had it. For the money I spend here I should be getting much much more. I have lived in 2 apartments now in this time, and both have had problematic water leaks because of the age of the buildings and the state of the roof. We have had problems getting back our deposit in transfering to our second apartment. They apologise but get nothing done. It's the parent management company ineptitude which is out of state, as well as the local office staff. We have had to repeatedly remind staff of work orders. Now we don't bother sending in work orders because nothing is done. If something is done it's done as cheaply and easily as possible so the workman can leave asap. Despite announced entries annually to check the sprinkler system and fire extinguisher we have never had our apartment checked and I would know as I don't work. No one knocked on our door out of each year we have been there. Although there is a clubhouse, residents are NOT allowed to use it. I asked as I had wanted to hold meetings there weekly with friends. The hottub seldom works but the jets are broken at all times. It's often dirty or over chlorinated or only lukewarm. The dry sauna DOES NOT work. They only recently put the door back on and the heater will not start. I have NEVER been able to use it. You can hear your neighbours talk, use the bathroom, have sex, vaccuum, play video games. music and televison,...do -anything-. It's not this way at every apartment. This is actually the worst I have ever seen at an apartment and I have lived in approx. 5 of various ages and styles over the years. We have stayed this long because it's a pain picking up and moving but I've have it and finally we are leaving. Very often if you have an older building, complexes try to make up for it with excellent service. The Polo Club does nothing of the sort. They rape you for prices that brand new complexes charge and throw in lousy service and facilities that are growing grungier with each passing year. Did you know that for weeks...the main pool behind the rental office was forced closed and deemed unable to meet county standards for acceptable facilities' They had to chain the gates closed to residents because it was substandard and unhealthy. It was in violation of code. I could go on and on and on...lack of parking if you have guests over or more than 1 car. My god..please please save yourself now and run. RUN as fast as you can and look elsewhere.
