I have only been here for 4 month and the place is horrible. my hubbys car has been hit twice by stupid --------- that pretend that they dont speak english and they do!! I see them dumpster diving all the time and that is disgusting. I only was talking out the garbage when taking my kids to school and almost hit someone in the dumpster!!! maintanice takes a week to get here when things are broken. the school which is ollie detwiler is a horrible school. If you have a child with behavioral problems dont waste your time going there, Its a bad neighboorhood, Parents that dont watch there dam kids and destroying property!! Managment is horrible. And they invade your privacy they did an so call inspection and they didnt even check a thing except for the fire alrams and what we had in our apt. They said my walls were dirty and the floors,and unsanitary!! they even said I had a cat and dont even have one!!!I have the most cleanest apts in this place When we first moved in the apt wasnt even done yet there was people still fixing it! the carpet was not changed. they painted over stains and dust.I would rent this place to the ----- himself. This community is not as bad as this person states it is. It has come a long way since they lived here. The property is kept clean, the maintenance team is accurate and the new Manager Elaine whose been there since January 24, 2007 is an excellent manager. Everyone loves her personality and she goes out of her way to help the residents. This person sounds like a very bitter soul that got charged for damages that they probably did do to the apartment. Go visit Portola Del Sol and judge for yourself. I guarantee you won't experience what you've been told from the anonymous writers.

This persons original review is spot on. I have lived here for 2 years and every thing she said is still true! Retarded inspections that they call "annual" but they happen every 3 months or so. All they do is check some of the smoke detectors and if your apartment is dirty. I spent hours making sure the apartment was spotless, I mopped, vacuumed, this place looked practically brand new after I was done with it and they sent me a letter saying it was in "unsanitary conditions" and reinspected!! They painted over damage from previous residents before i moved in and the apartment has horrible cheap dirty carpet... And the manager that is "so great" is NOT! She is nice on the surface but go to her with a serious issue and she couldn't care less. The last time they had pest control come by with hardly any notice I was not home and he LEFT MY DOOR UNLOCKED. This is not a good neighborhood and my door was unlocked for anybody to just come in. My new neighbors have been destroying the plants by jumping around in them as soon as they moved in and haven't stopped! Kids run around rampant without any supervision. The elementary school around the corner is truly awful. Take a look at their accountability report.. 65% hispanic, 26% black, 6% white.. 99% with free lunch, TERRIBLE test results in reading, writing, math, and science, and 27% of teachers not qualified!! Sure this has nothing to do with the apartment directly, but for people out of town moving to this city with kids they might want to know information about the school nearby.
