Management just doesn't care

We had trouble almost as soon as we signed the lease... After being assured that the complex was nice and quiet (my wife was 6 months pregnant at the time) we discovered that our neighbours liked to play their music loud enough to rattle our shelves any time between 8pm and midnight. When we compleined to the office, they told us they could do nothing without a police report. We then collected police reports only to be told things like "We lost them" or "The last manager must have thrown them away" or "They're moving out at the end of the month so it's not worth persuing them". After months of complaining we were finally moved to a different apartment. In the new apartment, the appliances were in very poor condition and a previous tennant had let their dog chew up all the molding around the bedroom & bathroom doors. 9 months after moving to this apartment, we moved out and the molding STILL hadn't been replaced. We had no heat for weeks at a time at the end of 2003 when it started getting cold - the manager's response to the repeated and lengthly outages was that "heating is a luxury that we don't even have to provide" and when pressed further he threatened to evict us on the spot. In the time we lived there we went through 5 different managers and dozens of office employees, almost all of whom were rude and/or unhelpful. We even had problems after we moved out - it took over 2 months and a threat of legal action to recover my security deposit. There truly is NOTHING good I can say about this complex.

Lived here?

Wow! This was posted 3 years ago, and I think this place is worse now! I've only lived there this past year, and have also gone through numerous office people and "managers". They sell the place as a safe, o.k. place to live but, it's extremely unsafe. I work at night, so when I come home late, I have to walk through groups of gang-teens. My car has been broke into 3 times with nothing in it. Gang graffiti is popping up everywhere, the gate is always broken, people hopping the fence everywhere, etc. I realize this place is in the ghetto, but it could be a really nice if they would do some simple interviews before moving in all of these criminals. Unless you like trash everywhere and are some kind of "hard-ass", don't even think of moving here! It may look alright in the daytime when are looking at it, but it's not!
