Worst Apartment Ive Ever Lived In. Ever.

My move in date was around the end of sep, so, naturally i did a walkthrough of the apartment 2 weeks prior to make sure everything was up to par before i moved in. I commented on how i wanted a fireplace for the wintertime, and how i noticed there was no closet doors and that the windows were filthy with bird droppings and such. I was ASSURED by the leasing agent from the office that everything would be fixed and in place in 2 weeks in time for my move in date. Well...
Soon after moving in, and after making SEVERAL calls to the office regarding my problems STILL not being attended to, i decided tio ask the office for their corporate number to make a complaint, thinking I would be greeted with someone that was more professional and courteous and maybe willing to promptly HELP fix my problems since the office management was no help. After telling the woman at the corporate office my fireplace was not working, she said "thats why the ads say DECORATIVE FIREPLACES, because most dont work" and had the nerve to ask me in a sarcastic tone... "sir, did you sign ANY paperwork that SAID you were going to have a working fireplace''" I replied no i didnt, but i didnt sign anypaperwork that said i wasnt going to get any holes in the wall either, but thats something you EXPECT to get from a new apartment your moving into. Right'! After arguing my point with her for 35 minuted she hesitantly gave me a measly 20.00 bucks off my monthly rent.
As for the bird droppings on the windows, the "manager" at the office replied "well, theyre just gonna get dirty again, we'll see what we can do". They did nothing. My windows still remain filthy.
And as for the missing closet doors'' Its been 5 months and im STILL waiting. With NO closet doors in my bedroom.
Now my water heater went out. I have no hot water to shower with. Youd think the problem would be fixed in a matter of hours. Nope. I phoned in a work order to their "after hours maintenance response" team on a THURSDAY NIGHT. Its now FRIDAY NIGHT,24 hours later, and after coming home from work and expecting to take a hot shower, i come to find once again, i still have NO HOT WATER, noone had even come into my home to attempt to fix the problem. The maintenace workers (3 workers for an apartment complex of a couple HUNDRED units) said that they "never received the work order." Pathetic. And of course after having them look at my water heater, they said its broken, and most likely will have to be ORDERED. So of course, until then , im once again left in the cold with Rainwalk Aprtments.
Dirty laundry rooms with washers that are always broken and unattended to, people shouting in the corridors at all hours of the early morning, and walkways with scraps of metal hanging off of the edges, my patio screen door that they still havent fixed since i moved in 5 months ago, the list just goes on and on.
Between the terribly unprofessional, lying, not to mention lazy workers in the front office AND corporate office, "security gates" that dont close, the almost non exsistent maintenance staff, and the irresponsible owners of the property (that seem to change monthly), i wish i had passed this place right on by instead of signing a lease. : ( AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
