For one, trying to get out of the apartments takes about 10min waiting on traffic no matter which exit you try to go out of. Second, the noise level here is ridiculous... I have never lived somewhere with so much inconsideration for their residents when it comes to noise. I work nights and there are always people outside partying, the people upstairs are always partying and when you tell the office about the noise they do nothing to solve the problem. We tried getting out of our lease because it was unlivable here, just to come to find out that they "accidentally" wrote our lease longer than they said they did... horrible. They said there was nothing they could do to get us out of our lease; then about 3 days later asked us if we would be willing to move out immediately just so they could get someone else in. They only care if it benefits them. DON'T CONSIDER MOVING HERE! For the price they charge you, you could live in a really nice rental home. That's where we're headed once we get out of here.

AMEN to everything you had to say about Rancho - my story is WORSE: i moved there in 2005 planning to stay 5 years while Vegas housing prices came back to reality. But I got forced out in 2006 by the noxious cigarette smoke coming from units beneath and balconies facing. If you don't smoke - stay FAR FAR AWAY. Agreed about the noise and awful traffic and total lack of management help as well. And although they claim not to accept Section 8, from what I saw very few residents seem to have gainful employment. They sit around all day playing loud music and get really noisy at night, and they SMOKE LIKE CHIMNEYS 24 hours a day. Sort of typical of Vegas though - lots of drunken loser smoking nightlife in Vegas. BTW if you see anyone driving a dirt bike on vegas streets, report them to the police - it is ILLEGAL.
