PROS:
-Spacious, well laid out floor plans.
-Large balconies.
-Wood burning fireplace.
-Buildings with units with yards for dog owners.
-Good maintenance man (Larry)
-Nicely landscaped (if you're not allergic to olive trees - there are lots)
-Decent sized kitchens.
-Lots of window to let in the natural light.
-Nice library (with a museum) across the street
-Village Square plaza within walking distance (has a movie theatre and some restaurants, etc.)
-Gated community.
-Some units being renovated to catch up with the times.
CONS:
-Overworked maintenance staff (two guys).
-Downright mean and unsympathetic 'bulldogs' in the management office.
-Rent increases and water fees abound. Pet fees as well.
-Horrible insulation and old, inefficient A/C units so air conditioning bills are practically unfordable in the long hot summer months.
-The crappiest of the crappy appliances are installed in each unit (bottom of the barrel HotPoint models)
-One of the buildings (the one I live in) has a major plumbing/sewage issue and it has literally exploded twice in one month flooding the ground floor apartments and leaving human feces to roast in the hot sun on the common walkway for weeks, some is still there as I write this. And so are the sandbags that were used to manage the flood. Stinky! And unsanitary.
My boyfriend's car got towed right out of his own parking space for an expired registration tag. Seems there is a private security company that cruises the community every night looking for reasons to tow cars right out from their seemingly safe spot... any kick backs I wonder' This seems to be a growing problem in Las Vegas communities. A very frustrating one that ended up costing my boyfriend about $500. Of course he learned a lesson, but still the situation doesn't seem right.
I lived here in 2000 - 2001 and loved it. I had the perfect quiet apartment. Now my boyfriend lives here (upon my recommendation around 2005) and I just moved in with him after selling my house. I can't believe how downhill things have gone since I lived here before. My rent for the exact same layout was $777 in 2000, now the rent is $1010, depending on the type of lease you sign it can go down to $980.
We're moving out of state end of July, can't wait. Las Vegas used to be affordable, not any more.

I quite agree with the new post 6/19/2007. I posted on 5/24/2006 those problems with Reflections are the result of a change in management some time ago, I think about 2002 when the complex changed management company. I live in Wellington Meadows now(it's on the oposite corner behind the library 9550 W. Sahara Ave.) and I really like it. The managent team is very nice and the while it does cost a little more or did when I moved in(maybe not now) the apartments are much larger and so are the balconies. There are no public laundry in the complex, all apartments have washer and drier in them. The excercise room is open 24 hours(reflection started closing theirs at night 2 or 3 years ago. The only negative thing about Wellington Meadows is they don't allow pets. That didn't bother me if anything it was a selling point, one of the minor things that put me off Reflections was that they didn't enforce their policy about tennants picking up their pet droppings.
