I was initially supposed to be in one of the older units in the complex. This complex is split into 2 phases, some apts are older and others have been upgraded and renovated. The renovated units are usually an extra $100 compared to the older units. The day of my move-in,while going through my walk through w/a leasing employee, she mentioned there were "pests" and she put an order for spraying the following Weds. What she meant to say,and what I later found out was that the apt. had a huge roach problem.I understand this is the desert but these were household roaches already in the apt. before I even fully moved in to the building.I ended up sleeping my my former apt.at a different complex my first night and mngt had to relocate me,after several arguments,to a different unit. I had to write corporate and complain to upper mngt before they would agree to move me because of the roaches. My biggest complaint is that they charged me the higher rent because the only apts available were the renovated units and basically that's all Renaissance Villas was concerned about because this is where they make most of their money, from the newer apartments.

It's been a couple of weeks and I haven't had another problems or noticed bugs/roaches in my current apt at the complex. But be forewarned that some of the units are known for having roaches.

When you live in a multi-housing complex, expect to have roach problems, your neighbors might not be the cleanest people in the world, and if they have roaches, you do too.... As far as management goes down at Renaissance Villas, They pass the buck, blaming everyone else, its never their fault. Almost everyone has to complain to corporate.
