Central Location, Few Hassles

My review is from my time there in 1994 - 95 when apts. were managed by Spanos (AGS). Management has been changed and I don't know how the current managers treat the property.

Pluses: Apartment was clean, carpet in very good condition, no nicks or scratches on counters in kitchen or bath. All in good working order. Air conditioner always worked. Lots of storage area in apt. for belongings. . . a real plus! Excellent closet space.

Always enough parking, though not always in more shady areas. Jacuzzi clean and usually had the jets working fine. (Jacuzzi is next to management office, which probably helps keep this stay in good working order. . . after all, the management doesn't want prospective tenants to see a dumpy jacuzzi!)

Within walking distance of supermarket, restaurants (sit down and fast food varieties) and even a car dealer.

No noise problems from other neighbors while in apartment or from most street noises on Sahara.

Minuses: You do have to watch your laundry in the laundry rooms. People grab your laundry thinking it's their own (or whatever)and I noticed unclaimed thongs, bikinis and such on the laundry table there for the asking in plain sight. So beware (unless you **really do** want others to have your clothes. . .)

Rent was on the high side at the time I was there. The cable television service was contracted to a provider that in my opinion could have done better. (could have offered more channels) But my complaints are really on the minor side.

Overall, I'd have to rank it as one of the two best apartment communities I've leased from - and I've been in quite a few, in several locations in various western states. For a Las Vegas property, that's quite a compliment!

The central location in the Vegas Valley saves time and gasoline expense. . . something to consider when you compare this complex to one of the newer, farther out apartment complexes to the far west or south. If the crime situation at this complex is the same as when I was there (on the low side), that's worth serious thought. I'd check it out!
