I am a current tenant at this awful place and boy do I have something to say! FIRST! YES there was a 14 year old boy shot and killed in these apartments! I heard the gunshots go off. This is NOT uncommon.
When my boyfriend and I fist moved in, we were told that they were fixing the gates, hiring security, fixing the grounds, and replacing their maintenance crew. They did fix the gates (thank god) they did hire security for about 2 weeks, and they did replace the maintenance crew. Unfortunately the maintenance crew is STILL AWFUL! Management is AWFUL! The appliances are very old and crummy. We were lucky to get in on a deal and we only pay $540 for a 1 bed 1 bath. You can forget the washer & dryer. They are small and useless. It takes over an hour to dry anything and you can barely fit anything in the washer to start with!
The first summer we lived there our air conditioner went out. We called EVERYDAY for almost 2 weeks before it was fixed. We had to spend 2 weeks on the floor of my boyfriends moms house. It took a 3rd party threatening to call in our own private air conditioning crew and making Safari pay the bill when it was fixed before they came. They came in that day without our permission and fixed it leaving a huge black dirty mess on our carpet.
Now.. for over a month now our dishwasher has been leaking. I've been doing all my dishes by hand and putting in work order after work order. Nothing has been done. They are in violation of the lease on their end. The dishwasher leaks so bad it floods underneath the oven!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! Like I said we got in on a deal at $540. How dare they charge $780 for 711sq ft of CRAP! I'm going in there on Monday if my dishwasher has not been fixed and putting in my 30 day notice. If they even TRY to charge me the $1000 move out fee i'm throwing my lease in their faces. Im so done there.
