I moved out here in June, and have been relatively happy at Sahara West. I've only had maintenance issues once or twice, and on both occasions they were dealt with same day. The garages are a bit on the tight side... I drive a Toyota Corolla and it's a squeeze. Sahara West may not be horribly outstanding, but there are no glaring problems, it's safe and fairly quiet, and it's a short ride to just about anywhere.

what about pest control? roaches scorpions do they take care of this well?

Never had any issues with pests actually. Scorpions never got in to my apartment, and I never had any roaches set up shop, though I was on the ground floor so one would find its way in once a week or so.
I never had them do it because I have a cat that likes to chew and lick everything, but they do have a pest control group that will spray your apartment once monthly or once every two weeks (I forget which) free. Even without ever getting my apartment sprayed though, I never had pest issues.
