We lived here for one year and that was too long for us. The way the complex is run is a total joke. The mangement is absolutely ridiculous. First off, the asst. manager likes to use her notary stamp on "legal" documents that she signs as well. I say "legal" because what she does is illegal. Notaries cannot notarize a document on which their name or signature appears except as a notary. A notary has to be a 3rd party witness and cannot be involved with the document. Also watch out for someone else signing the notary signature and the asst. manager signing the document so illegibly that you can't tell who's signature it is. This way when the other person forges the notary signature, they make it nice and neat so you can read it and don't suspect it is the same person. If this does happen to you, contact the Secretary of the State of Nevada and file a complaint. The management only cares about getting the rent and anything else is irrelevant to them. We complained to them numerous times about several problems and nothing ever came of this. First off, our neighbors upstaris were wicked loud and let their dogs go to the bathroom on the patio. They would then wash it out the drains on the patio and the dog waste would fall onto our patio. The office didn't do anything and it finally stopped after we called animal control and the health department. Another person's dog bit someone and even though animal control was summoned, the office did nothing to reprimand the people with the dog.
If you work for the property then you basically have free range and can do what you want. One maintenace person has at least 2 vehicles that never move and take up precious parking spots. I say precious because spots are few and far between. Another maintence guy didn't pay his gas bill and they came out and put a lock on the meter. He went out and cut it off and got free gas. Southwest finally came out and took the meter off. The people who worked there and had dogs never picked up their dog waste because who was going to reprimand them. They do accept large dogs and any dogs for that matter. One person has a 200 pound mastiff that likes to stray from its owners and go after people. Another maintence guy has a wolf. They don't inspect dogs when you move in so you can tell them the kind of dog you have and they will take your word for it. They say they don't accept rots or pits but we moved in with a pit and so did other people after us. We also so people with rots who lived there. When we were moving out, someone moved in who has 5 cats and a dog. The number of pets you have doesn't matter to the front office either.
Metro is called to the property about once a month, mainly for Battery Domestic Violence calls. One apartment has had 2 Battery DV incidences in 2 months. If you are a single guy then this is the place for you. There are at least 20 strippers who live throughout the property. The complex used to advertise security patrols, which was a maintence guy in his infiniti SUV driving around while he talked on the phone. They have done away with this for a while now. There are several burnt out lights throughout the property that leaves it nice and dark, the perfect setting for someone to be accosted or raped. People drive like maniacs through the complex as well. One person hit us and went right on his way like he did nothing. We called Metro and they came out. We notified the front office and they didn't say anything about it. They went into their fake caring routine but ultimately nothing was done and nothing will be done unless one of them gets hit or someone gets run over by the people who speed through. The gates are always broken. They never stay fixed either. The gym is nice but the kids who go in there and try to act cool and work out, destroy the machines by slaming the weights and fraying the cables.
When we first moved in the apartment reeked of cigarette smoke. We complained and they told us it was the carpet cleaning solution and it would go away. It eventually went away after we put Glade plug ins in every outlet. If we didn't replace them when they were out, it would start to smell like cigarette smoke again. There was also glass all over the place when we moved in. We told the office and they did nothing. We were still find glass up until the day we moved out.
