Credit problems'

I wanted to live closer to my girlfriend who lives in the complex and recommended it to me. I wasn't very impressed with the 1 bedrooms. They're old and have a wood style trim and finish to them. The appliances looked as if they were from the late 70's early 80's era still. I would expect better for tiny place that costs over $700 in rent. Anyways, if you have poor credit and even try to explain your situation to them, then don't even bother, they will not work with you at all. They'll smile and nod in your face to get their $35 (non-refundable) for a credit check, plus $100 (refundable) to hold on to the apartment, just so they can tell you you're denied and treat you like you're a criminal because you have a few collections on your Experian credit report afterwards. I left two messages to speak with the reviewing manager (Lisa) and finally got a hold of her by calling a third time, at which point she denied receiving any of my messages (not receiving one message I could see, but not two). Then when I requested to speak with the corporate department she wouldn't give me the information I requested saying she has done her job appropriately (although I never mentioned anything about her job so that raised a red flag for me to just stay away and let it go). A completely unprofessional attitude. I suppose if you have decent credit, need something in a hurry, aren't at high risk and can stand having an airport flight-line as your neighbor then it wouldn't be a bad place temporarily.

I'm glad that management is keeping losers like this out of the community. So let me understand this. This person has never lived here, has only glanced at an apartment, but yet feels he is qualified to review them because he was denied due to HIS poor credit? What a joke.

fromeye2u,
You obviously think your Too perfect to understand what others go through in these situations. I hope someday, you too will experience this hardship when your credit fails. Most often the cases are, it was out of their hands and situations like divorce, loss employment, death in the family, etc. credit was affected. Have a little more sympathy with others who experience this. What is the saying? What comes around goes around? Just hope you are not affected by the credit scam that society has accepted as judgment of a person's ability to pay rent. If it does happen to you, maybe you'll see what it is like on the other side of your fence. I think in this case as the type of comment you had left, YOU'RE the loser.
Later, Loser.
