1. My car was broken into twice within three months. Office personnel do not care at all. No security staff around that I've ever seen. Office personnel know of the rash of car break-ins and theft, but they don't do anything whatsoever about it.
2. CONSTANT cockroaches. Not just the flat, dark ones, either. I'm talking about two-inch-long, FLYING ones. In the summer, especially, they bombard this place.
3. Garbage dumpsters here frequently rolled into the parking lot, emptied on the ground. Trash littered all over the grounds, lawns. Dog excrement all over the lawns and pathways. Shopping carts abandoned in hallways by residents.
4. Tenants generally declining in class since I moved here. Lot of trashy, loud and crass people, some even lounging on picnic tables in center of complex, drinking beer and cussing loudly at 8 AM while children are nearby.
5. Office personnel insist on keeping laundry door open, leaving tenants' laundry prone to theft by vagrants.
6. Pool never heated nor kept clean. Hot tub never hot. Trash littered on pool decks.
7. High electricity bills to keep this place cool; office personnel often rid the grounds of the shade trees that would have provided relief from the units baking in the sun.
8. No screens on windows.
9. Management companies and office personnel here have changed more times than I can keep track of. Responsiveness of management is terrible. Maintenance is slow or not followed-up on at all.
10. High-crime area. Frequent nights interrupted by police cars blockading the street, sound of gunshots heard, police helicopters hovering directly above.
11. Very limited covered parking situation. Most cars here have to be parked in the sun.
12. My water heater exploded, flooding the hall, bathroom and bedroom.
13. Office personnel misappropriated my rent check, crediting it to another unit and serving me with eviction notices until I straightened it out with proof from my bank that they'd cashed my check.
The location is the only benefit from living here. Everything else is disgusting.
