I lived there from September 2003 thru April 2004 and did experience some of the negativity I see expressed here. Coming from Dallas, however, I was surprised at how less trashy and overall less unappealing the property was in general. Yes, it's older. Yes, there are some maintenence issues. Yes, UNLV does bring with it some of the rowdy scene. Being in the multi-family real estate industry myself, however, I'd have to give the property an overall B plus. I guess maybe I was spoiled... I had a 1BR Townhome on the corner by the parking lot with no neighbors to speak of (to the right was a unit being used as storage, behind me the people were never home), I worked nights (other profession is being a paramedic) and slept during the day, was friends with my mailman (who'd hand deliver my mail since I was right across the walkway from the boxes, and shared a hometown with one of the gals in the office. All I can say is that crap happens everywhere you go. Just be smart, have patience, and realize that apartment staff are human, too, and no apartment unit or community is indestructable. Things will happen... just be happy you're not stuck living under one of the stages on Fremont Street!!! :)

This person as he/she says was friends or came from the same town as one of the office staff, so take this review as it is... suspect at best. It wouldn't surprise me if it was one of the office staff themselves. If this person had such a good experiance, why did he/she live there less then a year and why is she annonymous?
