Someone Call the Police

To Whom It May Concern:
Before turning this matter over to a lawyer and the forum of public opinion, I wanted to defer to the potentially greater, and hopefully wiser, powers that might be in place within the Pinnacle Property Management Group.
After witnessing one of your property maintenance workers physically attacking two of my neighbors the other evening, failure for the police to apprehend him, and one of the aforementioned neighbors recent procurement of a gun after receiving another threat from this person, I have decided to move out of my apartment located at Tamarus Park I Apartments. Apparently, for the current property manager, this seems to pose a problem although my lease terminates at the end of this month anyway.
Due to the significant increase in rent, an additional $50 each month, I had decided to vacate the premises. However, between my work schedule in the Purchasing Department at the MGM Grand Hotel Casino, church, weekend volunteer work with the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth and the local Rescue Mission, I had not had an opportunity to look for alternative housing and had decided to accept the month-to-month option through the month of September. Originally, my intention was to give notice on September 1st, until the recent attacks which transpired right outside of my door. The very same door the aforementioned attacker came to in July when I called to report my air conditioner wasnât working. My July power bill was $248.00 for a one bedroom apartment, by the way. In light of this fact, I can only surmise that this maintenance worker is better at attacking people than repairing air conditioners.
After the recent attacks, I didnât believe anyone would question my desire to vacate as soon as reasonably possible but I had forgotten with whom I was dealing - the same property manager who decided to lockup all three of the pools on the property because children were swimming during the day when it was lightening. Needless to say, it wasnât lightening when I came home from work at 5:15 but, nevertheless, all three pools remained locked throughout the evening although it was a stifling 100 plus degrees outside. This is the same person who told me that she couldnât be faulted for the fact that I, for the third time in eight months, was without water because the pipes burst again. â?The building is over 40 years old, what am I supposed to do?â I believe were her exact words. Additionally, when I inquired in June why none of the three pools were open, her response was something to the effect, â?We just spent $50,000 resurfacing them, but the plaster is still washing off in the pool. What can I do?â This response made seemed illogical because they had already been open for Memorial Day weekend. When I called the Pinnacle Offices in Las Vegas, they seemed to think they should have never been open in the first place because they hadnât been properly inspected by the Health Department.
I am certain that any reasonable person within your company will understand why I have decided to forgo any further discussion with the current property manager. Curt answers, coupled with an over-all poor attitude, hardly seem befitting of either a property manager or a representative of such a large and high-profile property management group as Pinnacle. But again, Iâll wait before making any further judgments about your organization until I have received a timely and more appropriate response from another representative within your company; hopefully one who demonstrates greater professionalism and common courtesy.
