Best apartment complex in area... but area is ghetto!

This is the best apartment complex in a 2 mile radius. However, the neighborhood is in the ghetto and next to very ghetto apartments. If you have to live near this area of town it's the best around, but if you have children or just aren't looking to have to deal with looking over your shoulder 10 times before you enter your house I'd recommend moving to a completely different area of town.
The management is nice and friendly. The landscaping is kept up well. One swimming pool has been closed for 2 years. The other is open in the summer.
Laundry: not in the unit, but there are designated areas. The management office transfers money to a laundry card.
Because it's in a ghetto neighborhood there is definitely the occasional loud "hip hop" or "cool rap" music jammed up.
Over the past 3 years it has improved, but the first year we moved here our apartment got broken into.
Overall: Only move to this complex if you know you need to live in or near this area. Otherwise: move across town!

A very unsafe area,it is too frigtening to get in and out at night because of the gangsters.Gangsters and racketeers hang out around the parking lot and jump from the near by apartment over the fence just at the parking lot.I always call my husband for accompany when I come back from work at 1am.
