Dont even make yourself go through this hell hole. Me and my fiance decided that as we were just starting out on our own that we would move here, it was cheap and easy. What a horrible decision. The maintenance is never compliant, and seem very non professional. The parking is open, so you never get a good parking spot or sometimes no parking at all. The washer and dryer in unit is not worth a load. They are stackables and hold less than 3 pairs of jeans. They must fix the problems in units temporarily so they can get more money from you. The pools were closed during the summer by the city because they didnt clean them! The surrounding is not good at all, there has been a murder across the street. The neighbors have had cops there too many times to count in our 12 month lease. The walls are thin and you can hear people walking up and down their stairs all day and night long. People drive by with their systems rockin in their cars. The residents are loud and people let their children run around with no shoes on and no clothes on just diapers... regularly. The management doesnt follow through with the rules and regulations at all. The move in says that there is a security who drives the premesis and that is false! This place is not worth the $790 a month.. you can spend just 100 more a month and enjoy yourself. Now my fiance and I have a 6 month old little girl and cant wait to move out in 2 months. Ive never had so much anxiety over break ins and bad people. One of our neighbors had their door attempted to be kicked in! There are constant police cars driving by and constant cop helicopters shinning their lights directly on you. We learned to only recieve a 6 month lease wherever our next move is to! I hope you take the lesson!

I lived in this complex from 1996 to 2001, and I must say it was a good place to live for about the first half of my time there. I especially liked my 1-bedroom townhome-style floorplan. After that, I think a different property "management" company bought the complex, and it went downhill from there. During the second half, I had my license plate ripped off, and I had a "neighbor" who chained his not-so-docile dog at the base of his stairway, right where it met my staircase. What a joy it was to be "greeted" each day. Then there were those thin walls you mentioned; I won't go into detail about the noise I heard through my wall, as this is likely being read by mixed company. Hang in there, those two months will fly by, and good luck to you and yours with finding a better complex. If you haven't already found a new place, I'd like to recommend Silver Streams Apts. near the intersection of Flamingo & Jones, on W. Rochelle. My Mom has lived there for 4 years and likes it.
