Vintage at the Lakes

a thourough review From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/7/2005 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004   I lived at vintage at the lakes for 2 lease terms.I am a single woman in my mid 20's That has one dog.I chose to write this review because I noticed that the other reviews were basically sales pitches and not about an actual living experiance. The units are attractive inside and out but there are problems. Maintenance is not always prompt (2 to 3 days).The walls are thin.As are the floors.You do hear televisions and kids crying,etc. During the last summer (2004),there were a disturbing amount of ants,roaches and other bugs in units in the back half of the complex. I asked friends and neighbors throughout the complex if they had experianced these problems.several did.Some, myself included moved out because of this reason. Also there is always a large amount of animal waste throughout the property grounds.Throughout the grass that childeren play on. Also read the reviews for The La Tierra Apartments, before renting as you will be living within a block of this place! The people living at Vintage are friendly and respectful overall.I did not have my car or apartment tampered with while I lived there.Though I did know of incidents while I lived there.There were also some loud domestic situations. The security gate off of Tomsik is open often and is broken from time to time.As well as the exit gate at the rear of the property,which gets removed from it's tracks a lot.People tend to tail gate others through the parking lot,particularly the elderly.There are also children unattended playing in the parking lots in the afternoons. Management and the leasing agents can occasionally come off as very fake and act better than the tennants.Though 2 of them are always nice to everyone. Thank you for your time.
