We've lived in this apartment complex for over 2 years and in those 2 years the rent has gone up and the quality has gone down. Don't get me wrong the staff are friendly and helpful and maintenance staff is right on top of things. But our problem has been with the enforcement of certain rules!
When we moved in the complex was impeccably maintained - now they only make the front and by the model apartments look pretty. They don't clean the grills enough - or the pool or pool area. They constantly overwater to the point you can't walk on the sidewalks while the sprinklers are on! Cars are parked on the property that are no longer registered and have a few inches of dust on them but the complex won't do anything. The same non-handicapped people keep parking in the handicap spots without the apartment doing anything. There are also rules about skateboards, scooters, bikes, rollerblades, etc... not being allowed on the property, but the staff won't stop them - and it's really annoying to hear skateboards below your window at night! The gates to the complex are propped-open (by the staff) every day and as a result non-residents can leave flyers on your door! The pool gates are rarely locked and children are sometimes left in the pool area unsupervised as well as throughout the apartment complex - but this is really only a safety issue for them since these are nice kids and don't cause trouble.
As of yet there has been no trouble here and it is relatively quite compared to other apartment complexes. The location is perfect and you can USUALLY find parking. The apartments are clean and nice. Neighbors are typically nice. This complex is a palace compared to what other people have written about other complexes. If you can get past my venting a few of my problems with this location (they really only annoy me because the complex won't do anything about them and I've seen this place at it's best), most people would enjoy living here.

It sounds like you would rather live in a communist country more than an apartment facility. Why don't you start by minding your own business and leave other people alone until you are personally effected by the behaviors of others. The only thing I got out of your post is that you have a problem with other people being alive. Maybe you should move back to California.
