I have lived here for about 8 months now. They (the apartment community) were undergoing a condo conversion when I moved in. It was not something that they hid at all. I was rather nervous moving in, but things have changed drastically over the past 5 months.
In August of 2006, there was a management change. In September, they stopped the conversion and are now apartments again.
Things have been rough, but I see improvement.
They are cleaning the community up, they dropped the rent on my apartment when I renewed (AND offered me half a month off) and gave me $400 when I reffered a friend to move in.
Things are not perfect... but nothing is. I am happy here and as long as things continue to improve, I will resign another lease when my current is up in 2008
