me and my boyfriend moved here a few months ago it seemed like a great place and the staff seemed really nice tured out they were all fake the apartment inside is falling apart matience takes forever to do any repairs. the complex is curentletly bieng sued for the sloppy ass installment of the cabients, the plumbling is horrible, thiers been times where the water was shut off without noticiation and sometimes took days for them to turn it back on. cars are constanly bieng stolen the gates never work and when they do they leave them open after midnite so anyone can come in. the pool is disguesting the mail is always left in someone else box and to the worst thing i think has ever happened here is the matienence people entered without notification and when me and my boyfriend were not home and they stole over 800.00 worth of stuff!!!! Do you really want to sty in a place were the own maitntece and staff is stealing from you'' And of course mangement didnt do anything but say well look into it which was never done. The walls are soo thin u can hear the nieghbors sneezing. I can not wait till our lease is up!!! So dont be fooled by the fake friendly smiles and the nice way the complex looks just keep driving!

Well, first of all this person does not seem too intelligent. It amazes me that people will put lies like this on the internet. I live at Newport and I have had water off for emergency repairs, but only for a few hours. The water has never been off for extended periods of time. My understanding is the cabinets are being replaced with new faces. I've heard there is a law suit but not against Newport. Mine were done and they are beautiful. My apartment is beautiful and I rarely hear my neighbors. There are friendly smiles in the office and the apartments do look nice. signed: a happy resident

YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THEY WOULD NOT LET ME SEE THE UNIT UNTIL AFTER I SIGNED THE PAPERS. I WENT INSIDE AND THE CARPET HAD BIG BLACK STAINS EVERYWERE ON IT, I CALLED THE OFFICE AND REQUESTED TO TRANSFER TO ANOTHER UNIT, I WAS TOLD YEP, COME IN AND WE CAN PICK A NEW UNIT OUT, WELL WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE OFFICE THEN I WAS TOLD "OH, NO, WE CANNOT DO THAT, YOU HAVE TO STAY IN THE ONE YOU'R IN ALREADY. THERE WERE CIGERATTES BURNS IN THE CARPET AND IT WAS JUST AWFUL, THE MANAGER CAME TO LOOK AFTER I HAD COMPLAINED AND SHE SAID "IT'S LIVABLE" I SAID MAYBE FOR YOU, BUT I AM NOT USED TO LIVING IN FILTH. I THEN ASKED IF THEY WOULD CLEAN THE CARPET AND I WAS TOLD "IT WAS JUST CLEANED". THERE WERE MANY OTHER PROBLEMS ALSO WITH THIS UNIT. THEY ARE LOUSEY....SO AGAIN I AGREE.....KEEP DRIVING - DO NOT STOP HERE.

Oh come on, don't you think you are doing a little toooo much? I also rented at Newport and when i moved in i did'nt really care for the carpet because it had been died. I requested to switch apartments and the office staff was very helpfull in finding one that i liked. You people are so needy and not to mention stupid to think that when renting an apartment it is going to be like buying a new home! If your expectations are so high then how about you get a better job and purchase a new home? As far as maintenance, you act like you are the only one living in the complex, do you not know how to plunge your own toilet, screw in a light bulb? I feel for the employees of apartments having to deal with these lazy @$$ people who have nothing better to do with they're time then wine and complain about nothing. I'd suggest getting a life!!!

I have been living at Newport Village since July 2007 and have only had minor incidents until recently. The power is out on kitchen wall so I am unable to light the pilots on my stove and oven. I have placed four maintenance requests since December 16th and the maintenace guy had the nerve to say he'd been to my apartment, when we were there ALL day. I feel that a service request for to fix a closet or a light is not an emergency, but when you are unable to cook on Christmas for your family and are microwaving everything for the kids, it's ridiculous.

The first 2 comments are management. The first tenant was intelligent enough to choose NW. You can speak to the majority of tenants. All will speak of management, and the inexperienced, illegal alien maintainance staff. Her partment is beautiful she claims. Of course, you are the manager that has a professionally contracted unit (like the model), not the third-world units left for those considered beneath you.
