im currently trying to get out of my lease. the landlord is a huge -----! she is deceitful in all aspects. she will be nice to you when you are a prospective tenant, but wait until you move in. she turns into psycho -----. the parking is absolutelty terrible. forget having any company over because there is nowhere for them to park. the surrounding streets are for people with permits only; parking there will get your friends a nice ticket. the maintenance is also horrible. the only repair guy there is some sleazeball who hits on the girls, sexually harasses us verbally, and has been found in apartments without tenant permission. the landlord also uses her power to enter your apartment whenever she pleases. the apartments are so horribly insulated that the heating bills are outrageously high. the heaters also do not work very well. we are always freezing even when we have the heat on full blast. altogether, including rent and utilities, i pay over 650 for this stupid apartment, and that is just my part. the apartments do not come with phone, cable or internet service, and this may not seem like a big deal, but speaking from experience this is so not cheap. we cannot even afford cable in my apartment because the phone and internet bills combined with the rent and gas and electric bills are way too high. i have to work two jobs just to pay for everything. also the apartments are in ------ condition and the beds are so uncomfortable. also, it is so loud in the complex every night, i actually have to sleep at friends houses sometimes. i would say do not move here, it will be your biggest mistake, trust me. but as a starving college student we cannot afford to slap them with a lawsuit.
