We are leaving at the end of our lease

As the title says..we are leaving as soon as our lease is up. We have lived here for less than a year and arent impressed at all. We thought that the community being located in south meadows would be a little better than it is. Well we were wrong. The walls are super thin, I can hear my neighbors and her 5 kids running back and forth all the time, they never stop. I've spoken to the office and they are not helpful in the least. The "on site security" is a joke! The "security" guy sits in his truck in front of the office asleep. So much for guarding us and making us feel safe. People walk their pets and leave the droppings for everyone else to step in. I have witnessed drug deals in the basket ball court, domestic disputes that echo across the green, teenagers jumping the six foot iron fence that surrounds the pool, gang tagging, etc at this place. All of this has been brought to the attention of the management. Well, it's winter so they arent jumping the pool fence anymore..not that I would allow my kids to swim there anyway. Nasty! Someone let their child swim in a diaper, a regular diaper, not a swim one. I turned my pool key in, told them that we wouldnt be swimming here anymore. As far as the rest, it still happens. When we complain they tell us to call the RPD. I thought being a property manager you had the right to vacate someone if they were causing all this. Shall we migrate to the inside of the apartment, sure they are large, most of them are bright. However, we have ants and nothing I can do will get rid of them. We have used bleach in our floor scrubbing, we vaccuum daily but to no avail. They only seem to show up in the bathrooms. I pressed along the baseboards lightly with my fingers and they give, so either there is a nice colony living there or this place is so cheaply built that the bugs can get in through the cheap craftsmanship. The carpets stain if you drop WATER on them. Spill some water on your carpet and it shouldnt leave a mark. Spill some water at this place and it leaves a giant stain. I mentioned the big problem to the office with a request to have the bug man come and spray and was told that since we are on the ground floor it would do no good because the complex is build on a marsh so the ants come in anyway because of the high water tables. NICE!! so it really doesnt matter how clean you are, if you live on the ground floor be prepared for bugs. I just cant comfortably recommend this place to anyone. If you want to take a chance on it, go for it.
