From: katydid Date posted: 7/1/2002 Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2002   I was reading one of the other comments on here from "callistawolf," and I had to respond, so that people would not get the wrong idea about this community. I have lived here at Manzanita Gate since 1998. I lived here during the construction, and like any other property that is brand new, there will always be kinks that need to be worked out, and they were! The staff was always kind, generous and very attentive to all of the residents. The property is beautiful-I think that some people may be mistaken by saying that things have "fallen apart" or that there was a lot of turnover in the office staff. The property manager has been here since it was under construction, and there have only been 2 assistant managers in 5 years...only because the original assistant manager moved out of state. The staff is always very kind & helpful, and we are all amazed that with over 600 residents, they all still manage to remember everyones name and apartment (try to find that anywhere else!). The property is well maintained, well managed, and yes-it is like a family! The maintenance staff are the hardest working people I have ever met. Maintenance, along with Management are on call 24/7 in case I ever need anything, and the office is open 7 days a week. The staff has monthly pot-luck dinners, Summer BBQs and a Holiday Party like I have never seen-they actually buy gifts for nearly all who attend the party. I would highly recommend this community to anyone who is moving to the Reno area, or to anyone who wants to live where they are treated like family and taken care of! I have lived in many rental properties across the country, and this staff & property are the best by a longshot.
