New Owners are Killing the Place

I lived at the Manzanita Gate apartments for 5 years ans recently moved to a house. For the time we lived there, my wife and I never had any complaints. Andres Vasquez is probably one of the best apartment managers I have ever dealt with. Any time there was a need to have something fixed, it was taken care of right away and done correctly. It has only been since the property sold this past year that things started getting bad. When I first heard that the property was being bought by new owners, I was told that it should be a good thing. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. While they did repaint the exterior of the entire complex and remodeled the office. The new gym never materialized, the rents were raised by as much as $200 for every lease coming due and the apartments began emptying out. On a personal note, after I moved out, almost 1 1/2 months ago, I am still trying to get my deposit back. The company keeps telling me that the "check is in the mail" and now it is supposed to be FedEx'ed. We'll see.

By law they have 30 days to return any deposit amount due. Check out Nevada Rental Law or Landlord/Tenant Law online. You might be able to sue.
