I have lived here for less then a year and have had nothing but trouble right from the start. The first day I picked up my keys to move in, I was in shock when I saw my apartment. None of my appliances match in style or color. My carpet was several yrs old,stained and smelled badly. My tub/shower is so old and moldly, the side of the tub is rotted. None of the door knobs in my apartment match. The windows are old and poorly made with absolutely no weather proofing, the walls have very little insulation thus giving you a huge electric bill. Everything in these apartments are as old as the complex and the complex is 30 plus yrs old.
The grounds are park like, but poorly maintained. There is trash and pet waste everywhere. It's not that I have a thing against animals because I have two dogs of my own, but I clean up after my pets. They don't enforce pet clean up or the weight restriction. The pool is a joke, you can't get near it due to the large number of unsupervised childern. There is a large number of families living here with 6 plus people jammed into one apartment. There is no enforcement of the noise level. They have courtesy patrol, but they are pretty much getting paid to do nothing.
Then there is the weekly water shut off notices. Couple weeks ago twice in a weeks time we were without water and electric. One of those times for almost 24hrs. During this past winter the carports colapsed which was happening all over Reno, but it took this complex 6 months to even start replacing them. Leaving many of the people that live here without a place to park. They started to fix them but have left them half done.
Granted the staff is nice enough and I feel bad for them, with all the people complaining on a daily basis. They can only work with what they have and what they have is a badly managed and very outdated complex. Needless to say I have given notice.
