HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!

The apartment we got was OLD and not even kept up. It had so many things wrong with it that I actually stopped in the middle of moving to go to the office to tell them that our apartment was a joke. The floor was uneven and warped, the paint around the fixtures does not match the paint on the rest of the walls, the fridge smells like a big dead fish, there are holes in the bathroom door, the shelves in the bedroom closet are slanted, gapped from the wall and barely hanging by a thread, the plaster has cracks, there are stains on the walls, the shelves in the linen closet fell down while we were moving in, the screen door to the patio was never even put on, the apartment itself smells, we spent six hours in that place and killed 2 spiders....I could go on and on. We tried to give them a chance to fix the things that were wrong but again, the property supervisor berrated us and treated us like criminals trying to get away with murder. The fact that they show a brand new apartment and then expect their tenants to pay the same amount in rent for an old, run down apartment is unacceptable and completely ridiculous. We originally asked for a different floor plan but all of the available apartments were upstairs and we require a downstairs since I am partially handicapped. One of the employees also said "well, if you really want this floorplan you can always tough it out till one downstairs becomes available." I am HANDICAPPED, I can't just "tough" it out. My husband and I take responsibility for making the decision to move into Meadowood despite the numerous red flags but we were lucky enough to move out the same day since I refused to sign the lease and our current landlord let us move back to our apartment.

I even tried contacting the president of Moss & Company (the company that manages Meadow Wood) and she was just as indifferent as the staff. She wrote me back implying that I am just some whiny, bitchy wife that MADE my husband and I move out because of some minor paint issues. This place is not only a dump (despite the model they show you) but the people treat their tenants like paychecks instead of humans...if you have a problem after you move in, it's because it's your fault or you have unrealistic expectations. Oh, and then the property supervisor will lie and say that she offered everything she possibly could to appease you when in fact she just throws her hands up and basically says "well, here's your money back, go away."

DO NOT MOVE THERE!
