1) The neighborhood is crappy, right behind the worst shopping center in Reno.
2) They LIE THROUGH THEIR DIRTY YELLOW TEETH TO GET YOU TO RENT HERE>
I have lived here for two days. When we were looking for an apartment we were shown a beautiful model apartment that I would happily have paid the $830 monthly rent for. The nightmare began on moving day. When I got here I walked in and tripped over two 10 gallon buckets of paint, and random painting supplies. I don't know why they were here because they did not paint anything.
The apartment was FILTHY when I moved in. I'm talking about dust and dirt CAKED on every flat surface. The place was not cleaned at all. There are holes in the walls, ceilings, and pubic hairs all over the toilet.
I also found that both of my smoke detectors had been disconnected from the power, and had their backup batteries removed...hmm...and the carpet is in tatters, it is ripped, curling, shedding, and stained everywhere...the place smells like pee.
They are making excuses about this building being 10 years old. My last apartment was 20 years old, it was 565 a month, and it was beautiful and well maintained.
The "secure" gates have never been closed any time I've ever been here, not even at midnight, and I've never seen any security people that the management brags about.
What I have seen are gangsters wandering around the complex at night, trash everywhere, and lies, lies, lies.
Do not rent here. There are hundreds of nicer apartments in reno and most of them are cheaper. These people are criminals.

Lies? The only lies are the lies of the management. Do you have a problem with someone giving an honest review of an apartment complex?!? If you do, you must manage this place.

i do have a problem with you giving a review on this complex, since what you are saying is false. i have lived here for almost a year and the gates have worked all but in the last couple weeks since they were currently repairing them. My apartment is in great shape and I have recieved nothing but help when i have needed it from this management group. One of the maintenceman even helped on my moving day (carry in my king size mattress). I was given brand a brand new washer and dryer as well. As for the so called "gangsters": you are talking about - I have never seen anyone in here and if you do you should call the patrol since that is why they are there - rather than venting about it on here. I have 2 dogs that I walk three times a day - sometimes late at night and I have never seen what you are describing - so yes i do have a probelm with your "so called honest review". There is nothing wrong with my smoke dectectors and my fire extinguisher outside was checked about a month after I moved in. I am sorry you feel this place is so horrible, but i have enjoyed my time at this complex and i do intend to stay here until i finish college. And it takes me about 15 min to get to campus from here - barring the construction on McCarren. Also the horrible wal-mart that people are complaining about is closing -and while living here I have never had a problem with them anyways. I love the pool (which i have found clean each and everytime I have used it) and spent most of last summer hanging out up there. There are grass issues - fine whatever - it has been winter and when it gets nice enough they do take care of the grass that has died off - when i moved in last June i did not see any dead grass - and i have no idea what trash you are talking about being all over the property - since I live next to the office i dont see any - and i do drive around the complex with my dogs as well and have never seen any - so if you think this place is horrible - i suggest moving to Silver Creek - if you want to see real gangsters - have your car stolen and deal with real thugs - this place has been great to me and my husband and i do not like the comments that i work here becuase i do not - stay off my one post and my right to voice my opinion without being accused of working here and having my opinion trashed by you !!!!
If you liked Silver Creek so much - why did you not stay - or buy ? Please do us a favor and go back to that trashy complex with real criminals! This complex is over 60% elderly - where do u see gangsters! We got new paint and streets recently and all was well - I dont get where you are coming from - this place is wonderful! If you have been here for only 2 days what right do you even have to post on here ! I have been here for over a year and did you notice omg the gates are closed! Yes, working on the roads require them to be open - wow are you dense - please quit making stuff up - it is pointless to lie since you did not look for the right things you needed in a complex before you moved in - it is not the complexes fault! I pay more than you and would pay even more to stay here - I have no clue what apartment complex you are even talking about? Becuase this is not the same complex that I live in !@!@!@
This is not a anonymous comment! I live here in the complex - i fact today I resigned my lease - what you are sying is just crazy and I am sorry that you are so upset over this complex - but I have had a great 13 months here! I am sorry you believe that I work here but I don't ! It is very annoying to be told so over and over again by you! I live in the building across from the office and it is nice and quiet in this area! I among the others who have recently posted are happy here! Again I am sorry that this has been bad for you - but it is not bad for everyone and you need to understand that. I hope things get better for you, as they have been wonderful for me!
