good apartment but not the safeest palce even clse to univerity

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007
the partment is decent, although the studio that I live have wierd floor plan. (almost half of sqft is kitchen).
it come with free cable, free heat, free parking lot (not covered).
close to unr and very convenient.
only the problem is the security. there are several unique houses across oak st, and one of them is half-way house.
I saw people constantly seaching something from our garbages.
