I moved here nearly 4 years ago. I love it - in fact, I'm moving to a larger suite next month and renewing my lease for 18 months. I would have taken 36 months if they offered it. I have never had trouble with maintenance or repairs.
Of course there is always going to be SOMETHING someone doesn't like. You can't please everyone all the time. If there is a problem, it's taken care of by the staff. As far as the staff goes, they handle concerns quickly and efficiently. Personalities are as different as the day and it should come as no surprise that you might get along with one staff member better than another.
Parking is adequate, though sparse in some areas of the complex. However, everyone gets a carport, and I have a garage as well. The property is only 8 years old and in great condition. The grounds are very well-maintained. Residents are, for the most part, always friendly and courteous. It's fairly quiet (as far as outside noise goes) and is MORE than convenient to stores and the freeway.
In short, I think Sharlands is one of the best values around in apartment living and I hope to be here for some time.
