I generally agree with the others in this string: management unhelpful/inattentive/snotty; noisy grounds; slow maintenance response time. Husband and I have been here almost 2 years.
Interiors: Fixtures and doors are outdated and in need of regular replacement. Carpet is filthy and stained; deep steam cleaning useless.

Safety: My scooter was stolen from right outside our bedroom window. Many gas tanks have been vandalized in recent months (that's probably an issue almost anywhere, these days). Some lights outside along sidewalks, but not as well-lit as I would prefer.

Noise: We are on the top floor, so we don't hear much except door slamming and yelling fights from surrounding neighbors. Thankfully there are no kids in our area. Also, our downstairs neighbor complained that we were "making creaky sounds late at night." After some lengthy discussion & inspection of our apartment, mgmt concluded that it's the old floorboards under our washer and dryer that made the noises. They still have not been repaired, almost 2 months after the fact.

Biggest issue: We applied & submitted $400 deposit, b/c mgmt said that with my husband's $53K annual salary we'd have no problem being approved (I'm in grad school and not working). We have no foreclosures/no evictions/no repos on our credit, and only $2K credit card debt, which is being paid off. Our app was accepted, but only on the condition that we put up another $400 in deposit money because we are "risky renters." '''!!! So, it was either put up the additional (non-refundable deposit) money, or lose the app fee $400 deposit we'd already given them. Renter beware!
