Overpriced with the Illusion of Being a Nice Place

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2007
They have recently done a lot of surface remodeling: New Paint, adding a Fitness Center, and Upgrading the Clubhouse. However, I have lived here for 4 years, and my ceiling has leaked for the last two. My electrical outlets are old and burning up, my light fixtures make lightbulbs explode as soon as you screw them in. The lighting on the grounds is very poor at best, the laundry rooms are constantly closed due to vandalism or wiring or plumbing problems. The parking spaces are numbered with your apartment number making it only too easy for people to stalk you (as I found out the hard way). The management is very good at smiling at you and assuring you that problems will be resolved ASAP, but then they take no action. I went 4 days this winter without hot water because they never even bothered to check the heater, saying it was just the pilot light that kept going out. This last snow storm (end of Feb), no one ever shoveled the snow off of the stairs or porches. Since I have lived here, my rent has been raised over $50 a month per year. I will be moving from here ASAP.
