Sketchy...

You think that you might possibly be getting a good deal, but with Southridge Apartments you pay for the kind of quality you get.
As far as the apartment: The walls are paper thin, and they appear to be just sheet rock covered with knockdown texture which makes accidental punctures easy, but it also allows you to hear everything your neighbor is doing. And I mean EVERYTHING.
The lights are always burning out... so acquiring light bulbs with become an investment.
The doors in the apartment look like they've been pulled out of a 1970's trailer, and very easy to crack or puncture because it seems that they are made out of a thin sheet of compressed wood.
The biggest closet in the units are the water heater hook ups. The only storage space given is your dinky little closet in the bedroom, and your 2 1/2 to 3 foot deep closet by the door. I would really recommend paying the extra money to get a garage.
Parking: Parking is assigned to the tenants, but if you have a visitor you can try to scramble for the two available visitor parking spots which is usually just occupied by people who actually live here and have no room to put their extra car. So basically for the majority of the time visitors are SOL and have to park on the streets. The management is very strict about who parks where, and what parks there when it comes to assigned parking. Meaning, if they do see a car that unrecognizable, and not written on the contract... that car will be booted immediately.
The apartment management is all right. Sometimes it seems they leave earlier than their shift on certain days. The maitanence crew is always up to something [they are always fixing]. Your apartment is never ignored when there is a problem. It just won't be executed immediately, and sometimes will take more than one trip to fix. They are constantly holding inspections, and I've only experienced one time when crew came in without a 24 hour notice.
The neighborhood is nice, but congested with a whole lot of college students. There is a beautiful park located just up the street. Be aware there are also a few retirement/elderly homes in the area. Ambulance, and firemen are up here quite frequently. Even during odd hours of the night. Not so much the police, however. As far as the complex, I would say that there are a few sketchy people who live here. If you do not like noise, then this not the place for you. Noise, especially on big holidays. Don't be alarmed when you hear a few firecrackers or two.
Southridge Apartments do not offer washer/dryer hook ups... They have a laundry facility that is never kept up. It makes me not want to ever do the laundry. The washers constantly have soap stains on the hoods, dust is everywhere, lint is thrown on the ground... it's filthy. They have one particular washer that you insert soap through the flap... don't use that one... that washer is disgusting and you can see mold.
They also have a few exercise areas... the basketball court is nothing special rather lookin' ghetto at this point so if you want to get good gaming in, just walk up the street to the park. The gym is tiny... there are only two equipments.

All in all I'd say this complex is a mixed bag... I would recommend for people who are making very little money because it is a low income complex, but if you don't have to live here, then don't.
