I moved into this place in January 2003 and only stayed for four months. WOW, WHAT A DUMP!

First off, there is no insulation, NONE. You hear every car that starts up in the parking lot, you hear every door slam, it's freezing in the winter and hotter than hell in the spring.

This is one of those 'cluster apartments' -- which means you get your own room/bathroom but you 'share' a kitchen with any ol' bum in Reno. And there's no locks on the cabinets in the kitchen so if you don't want your 80-dollar saute pan completely destroyed and all your pantry food to disappear, you'll keep it all in your room.

I had the extreme misfortune of 'sharing' a kitchen with a woman who was a chronic drunk and mentally ill (lucky me!). She made a ton of noise every time she was in the kitchen and smoked in the kitchen despite the dozens of NO SMOKING signs. She put a baked potato in the oven one morning and then past out for several hours. I came home and the fire department was there as the smoke from the burned potato had filled the entire kitchen.

The on-sight managers that were there when I was were really nice people but they had no clout, no power to really do anything about the place. The slumlord owner, Mr. Rice, is a very rich guy. He lives up near Caughlin Ranch in a huge house. Look him up in the phone book and then drive over and tell him how you feel about his fire-trap, health hazard apartments he gets thousands of dollars in rent fees from every month.
