I cannot begin to tell you how much I hate living at Timbers Hills. I am a bit trapped since I have a pet and there arent too many complexes that will accept a cat. Take a look at the complex as you drive in....there is paint peeling everywhere, and the wood on the patios is ROTTING away. The ugly light standards around the complex have 3 inch high id numbers on them...ON THE FRONT OF THEM!! TACKY! Are their maintenace guys so stupid they cant figure out that the light by apt xyz is out, they have to put a number on the front of it! Sheesh! They burned their grass over the summer, so they are compensating by watering the lawns 3 times a night! Every night! I like to have a green complex in which to live, but when you walk on the grass, you sink into the soil. YUK. I have a very clean downstairs unit, but have a horrible time with pests....millipeades and spiders mostly, and as the season changes Im sure it will become worse.
As other people have mentioned, the office staff is THE WORST. Most times when I go into the office to pay rent, the big screen TV is blasting soap operas from the far side of the office so the manager can hear them from her office. The way she dresses is fine for a cocktail party, but VERY unprofessional for an leasing office. Dont try to complain about a neighbor, because you will not be met with concern and a helpful ear, but with "WHAT HAPPENS IN OTHER PEOPLES APARTMENTS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Close your windows so you dont hear them!!" By lookin at the cars and the type of people that are now living here, I have a feeling they are accepting SECTION VIII (welfare) tenants. The "services" that they offer tennants are a joke. Free cookies daily (yea, get there before 10am). Ballons for your birthday (been here two years, never seen a balloon except on the front of the complex trying to LURE people in.) Dry Cleaners (CHECK THE PRICE FIRST...it would be cheaper to take a taxi to Carson City to get your laundry done). I honestly feel like they are doing me a favor to live here. PLEASE! For 900.00 a month, you can find something else...Going to have to give up a great part of town, but ya know what....this place isnt worth it.
